Ayurveda is a mother of all health sciences. Its roots are from ancient Vedic culture, taught through verbal explaining tradition through practising discipline.
Ayurveda is a gift to human life, if practised every day.
Over the decades, the practice of good sleep and healthy food diminished from our life slowly, taken over by western food habits and lifestyle. We may seem to disagree on such topics, but our DNA is such, that you may have to practice eating the healthy food engraved through decades in our lifestyle. There are many forgotten foods, seasonal food grains and many more.
As known, we are diverse and subsequently are our needs, what works for one person may not work for the other depending upon the prakriti’s of the individual. Eating right as per the Ayurveda keeps you away from ailments of body and mind. Ayurveda stresses about right amount of healthy food according to our body type, good sleep and yoga and pranayama.
Ayurveda, essentially talks about three strong pillars for health
#Ahara (diet)
#Nidra (healthy sleep)
#Brahmacharya (celibacy)
Its emphasis that, any of these following pillars are imbalanced, you have to worry because it could lead to constipation, indigestion, headaches to stress, anxiety to even cancer. The entire mind and body mechanism falls flat leading to severe health complications.
We are hard pressed now with the given health conditions of the young generation going through marginal health complications at very early age (20-28) with stress, anxiety, psychosomatic issues and much more. The thumb rule should be without neglecting the importance of diet and sleep. The third aspect can be followed too provided what age group one fall into. Ayurveda talks elaborately about these aspects, reinforces to consider sleep, brahmacharya and nutritional diet as important. All these three aspects not only balance our body’s Gunas and Doshas, it supports our mental, spiritual, emotional and physical growth which leads us to ultimate freedom of any ailments.
